For nearly four decades, the Sacramento pioneers have occupied a space entirely their own — somewhere between crushing heaviness, dreamlike atmospheres, and emotional intensity. Their influence can be heard across modern rock, metal, shoegaze, and alternative music, yet no one has ever sounded quite like them.
Following the release of their latest album Private Music, Deftones will return to Germany next summer for a special open-air headline performance at Berlin’s iconic Wuhlheide.
The show will take place on August 18, 2026, offering fans another chance to experience one of alternative music’s most influential and enduring bands in a unique outdoor setting.
Released in 2025, Private Music became another milestone in the band's remarkable career, reaching the top of the U.S. Rock Charts and earning a nomination for Best Rock Album at the 2026 Grammy Awards.
The album continues a legacy that includes landmark records such as White Pony, Diamond Eyes, Koi No Yokan, and Ohms — albums that helped define multiple generations of heavy music.
Formed in 1988, Deftones have sold more than 10 million records worldwide and accumulated over 10 billion streams, while maintaining one of the most devoted fan communities in modern music.
